I have tanned several coon hides that seem to have turned out well. I still have them hanging in my shop which is heated. Now though the heats off and the hot humidity has started and i have noticed that the hides seem to absorb the humidity. When the humidity lowers the hides will dry back to normal. Is this normal? If so, is there something that can be done about it.
