About to attempt first skull bleaching
« on: January 02, 2011, 06:27:48 PM »

I have the skull bleaching kit, and I am planning on trying it for the first time tomorrow on a hog skull.

All the hide has been removed from the skull, but everything else (i.e. eyes, brain, etc) is still there.

Do I need to cut off more of the flesh that is still there, or will the cleaner degreaser be enough?

Should the one hour of boiling followed by pressure washer be enough, or will more boiling be needed; especially if I don't remove more flesh before I start?

I am going to put it in the turkey fryer tomorrow and give it a shot, but I wanted to get some last minute advice before I start.

Thanks.

Just make sure its good and hot when you put the skull in and it only takes and hour.  Otherwise, it looks you are all ready to go.
